Isaiah 54:2-4a

"Clear lots of ground for your tents!
Make your tents large.
Spread out! Think big!
Use plenty of rope,
drive the tent pegs deep.
You're going to need lots of elbow room
for your growing family.
You're going to take over whole nations;
you're going to resettle abandoned cities.
Don't be afraid—you're not going to be embarrassed.
Don't hold back—you're not going to come up short..."
Isaiah 54:2-4a
(Message)

I have to say that this is one of my favorite verses in the Bible - it is so full of promise: People will be added to the Kingdom of God! Whole Nations will surrender to Him! What has been abandoned, lifeless and empty will be revived and full of life!
What speaks to me today is the tents. It says to make your tents large, to spread out and think big. Key word - THINK. What I think/expect will be what I live. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am anything but small minded, but the more I have mulled this over I saw thick stone walls trapping my mind set and boxing my life in. Some of these wall I had even been reinforcing with continual negative thinking.
The verse says to ENLARGE your tent, make it BIG, STRETCH it out
(in the NIV and AMP).
Now how do you do that if the walls are made of stone? The only way I can think of is to tear them down. The story of the walls of Jericho came to mind. It is time to see/envision those walls come down, walking around the outside of them declaring God's truth until they crumble, not stopping until they turn to dust and are blown away by the cleansing wind of the Holy Spirit.
I want my mind to be without borders blocking or halting me from believing in the bigness of God and what He wants to do in my life and the lives of others.
